In Thailand, Egis delivers both infrastructure projects such as airports, rail, roads and bridges, ports, and water, and buildings including offices, retail, condos, mixed-use, hospitals, universities and stadiums. We support our clients along all phases of these projects, from planning, design, project management and construction supervision to operation and maintenance.
From Bangkok, our Regional Technical Centre for rail systems and civil structures acts as our headquarters for projects across the Asia Pacific region. In addition, our Bangkok Design Centres for major structures and façade engineering serve our local and regional clients.
In recent years, Egis has been extensively involved in the extensions of Bangkok’s BTS & MRT networks and in the design of the Thai Expressway Network and the periodic audits of its structures.
In the aviation sector, our recent key projects include consulting services on safety assessment of Thailand’s modernization of CNS/ATM systems, design of the second runway and taxiways for U-Tapao International Airport, other technical assistance, and feasibility studies work.
Our work on roads and multimodal transport projects includes the Bhumibol Bridge and Industrial Ring Road in Bangkok that cross the Chao Phraya River twice in a single span, the Prachachuen Flyover, the first U-channel bridge built in the country, and the Bang Na-Bang Pli - Bang Pakong Expressway, at 54 km the largest elevated expressway in the world at the time of its completion in 1999.
Egis is also committed to the connectivity, community improvement and conservation of one of the world’s most diverse and complex natural environments in Thailand and of the Greater Mekong Sub-region. Working with the French Government and the Mekong River Commission, Egis has provided technical assistance and knowledge support for the strategic study for the development of navigation on the Upper Mekong, a drainage and sewage study of eastern Bangkok, and regional highway management seminars.
