Paris-Beauvais airport, managed by Egis since October 2024 as part of the Bellova consortium, has achieved Airport Carbon Accredition (ACA) level 4 Transformation.
The airport obtained this certification in recognition of its investments and ongoing commitments to reduce carbon emissions within its own perimeter and those of third parties. The main actions implemented so far cover the electrification of all aircraft stands and 30% of ramp assistance vehicles. The provision of a passenger shuttle service means that the airport is also enabling the reduction of emissions related to travel to and from the airport. Fifty-one per cent of passengers currently use the shuttle rather than their own vehicle. The airport's approach is in line with the objectives defined by the Paris Agreement and based on the international Greenhouse Gas Protocol (GHG).
Paris-Beauvais airport is one of just 15% of airports in France certified to level 4 or higher of the Airports Council International's (ACI) voluntary program to reduce environmental impact and CO2 emissions. It is the 6th airport to achieve this level, on the same level as major hubs such as Paris-Orly, Paris Charles de Gaulle and Marseille Provence.
Within Egis, more than two-thirds of the airports in which the Group is a shareholder and operator are ACA-certified, with varying degrees of maturity ranging from level 2 to level 4+, including Antwerp, Ostend, Pau, Brest, Tahiti-Faa'a, Bergerac, Brazzaville, Beauvais, Larnaka, Paphos and Abidjan*. Egis’ commitment goes beyond airport activities, and also extends to the Group's other assets, such as road infrastructure management.
