Egis successfully completed the Transport Infrastructure Investment Planning (TIIP) Guideline assignment for The World Bank, and the Municipality of Ulaanbaatar (MUB). The TIIP is part of the Ulaanbaatar Sustainable Urban Transport Project (USUTP) implemented by the World Bank.
This project was fully developed by Egis' Jakarta Transportation Design and Engineering Center in Indonesia, leveraging regional expertise and innovative solutions. The Mongolia team played a crucial role by facilitating local meetings and providing essential literature support.
The19-month assignment began with an inception phase focused on engaging local institutions and stakeholders. We meticulously prepared the guidelines by incorporating best practices and international approaches tailored to the unique context of Ulaanbaatar.
Main efforts included conducting a comprehensive transport infrastructure governance analysis, identifying key challenges in development, and creating a robust methodology for the identification, prioritization, and selection of transport infrastructure projects. The TIIP serves as a vital medium to long-term planning tool, designed to evaluate and prioritize urban transport projects based on their economic, social, technical, environmental, and financial dimensions.
Egis is committed to advancing sustainable infrastructure development across the Asia-Pacific region, driving impactful solutions for the future.
