Egis has received accreditation in Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Verification for the energy and chemical production industries from the ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB).
ANAB is the largest multi-disciplinary accreditation body in the western hemisphere. Greenhouse Gas Verification is one of their newer programs, and Egis joins a select group of companies worldwide who are accredited to offer these services.
The voluntary certification builds on Egis’ existing credentials in greenhouse gas assurance. The firm has developed a defined approach to the verification process in accordance with 14064-3:2019, ISO/17029: 2019, ISO 14066: 2011 and program specific guidance.
“Greenhouse gas emissions verification is a key component of our clients’ overall sustainability goals. We’re seeing a growing demand for regulatory submissions and voluntary disclosures that require independent verification of GHG statements,” says Brian Kielly, Executive Vice President, Energy at Egis in Canada. “Verification is highly complimentary to our existing work within the energy sector, and we’re thrilled to receive this accreditation.”
